چکیده

This paper analyses a discrete-time (s, S) queueing inventory model with service time and back-order in inventory. The arrival of customers is assumed to be the Bernoulli process. Service follows geometric distribution. As soon as level reaches pre-assigned due demands, an order for replenishment placed. Replenishment also When reduces zero or non-replenishment items, maximum k are allowed system remaining completely lost till replenishment. Matrix-Analytic Method (MAM) used analyze model. Stability conditions, various performance measures system, waiting-time distribution reorder-time obtained. Numerical experiments incorporated.

Discrete Time Analysis of Multi-Server Queueing System with Multiple Working Vacations and Reneging of Customers‎

This paper analyzes a discrete-time $Geo/Geo/c$ queueing system with multiple working vacations and reneging in which customers arrive according to a geometric process. As soon as the system gets empty, the servers go to a working vacations all together. The service times during regular busy period, working vacation period and vacation times are assumed to be geometrically distributed. Customer...

A Queueing-Inventory System with Repair Center for Defective Items and One-for-One Ordering Policy

In this paper we consider a system consisting of a supplier with a single processing unit, a repair center, and a retailer with Poisson demand. We assume that the retailer applies one-for-one ordering policy with backorders for his inventory control. The retailer’s orders form a queue in the supplier processing unit. We also assume that a certain fraction of the products produced by the supplie...

A Queueing-inventory System with Defective Items and Poisson Demand

Abstract In this paper we consider a system consisting of a retailer, a supplier with a single processing unit, and a repair center. We assume that the retailer faces a Poisson demand, his ordering cost is zero or negligible, and for his inventory control he applies one-for-one ordering policy, that is, as soon as a demand arrives he orders one unit to the supplier. We also assume that when a d...

A New Inventory Model for Deteriorating Items with Price-dependent Demand, Time-value of money, and Shortages

This paper presents a discounted cash-flow approach to an inventory model for deteriorating items with the two-parameter Weibull distribution. According to our proposed model, two shortages are considered: back-orders and lost-sales, in which the back-order rate is a varying function of the time when the shortage happens. In general, the demand rate is a linear function of the selling price...

Inventory Model for Deteriorating Items with Quadratic Time Dependent Demand under Trade Credits

In this paper, an EOQ model is developed for a deteriorating item with quadratic time dependent demand rate under trade credit. Mathematical models are also derived under two different situations i.e. Case I; the credit period is less than the cycle time for settling the account and Case II; the credit period is greater than or equal to the cycle time for settling the account. The numerical exa...
